Satin Silver Plating

Satin Silver Plating is widely used in decorative field where matt finish is required.

For practical purposes we will generally deposit a thin layer of pure silver over a layer of satin nickel when producing a satin silver finish. We will the protect the finish with e-coat to give the performance that is necessary. This is generally more economical than trying to obtain the desired performance results with a thicker layer of silver. The colour of satin silver plated deposit can be varied to achieve a wide range of finishes from milky white to pearl white. The photo displayed above is our standard colour but we can match a wide variety of colours.

Prior to being electroplated the item which is to be satin silver plated must first go through a mechanical staining operation. This is where the texture and glosss of the finish are developed depending on the media used while satining. Once the item has been satined it then enters the electroplating operation.
