Antibiotic Zone Reader
Antibiotic zone reader is used for determining the strength of antibiotic materials by measuring the diameter of the inhibited zone in a petri dish. The process of determination with this instrument is rapid, accurate and reliable.
Assembly and Working
Antibiotic zone reader measures the diameter of the inhibited zone to 1mm within a range of 0 to 35 mm. The light from a source in the base, passes up through the transparent and semi transparent portions of agar. Then, it gets reflected by a mirror, supported with an arm above the unit, to a glass prism mounted at the front of unit. The magnified image of the zone inhibition is clearly visible on the prism.
