Passivation

Final seals improve the corrosion resistance and adhesion of the conversion coated metal surfaces that are subsequently coated with conventional, electrocoat and powder coatings.

After zinc-phosphating, another protective process in the form of a passivation can be applied to the metallic parts. Our passivating agent Gardolene® D materially enhances corrosion protection and affords an excellent adhesive substrate for downstream process steps, like for example painting. Chrome-free technologies on the basis of zirconium or titanium fluoride are available.
