Ozone is a Triatomoc (Nascent0 Ozygen which is known to be 3000 times more powerful than chorine.Ozone generators Consists ot two electrodes separated by a ceramic dielectric materials. This system is so arranged to form a narrow discharge gap for the electric current being passed. When air is passed through this gap and applied at low current electrical the gas became partially ionized and a diffused bluish glow results. This glow is called corona, when air is passed through this gap, the oxygen is converted into ozone. Corona discharge are more dependable and less cumbersome when compared to the U-V ozone generators. They produce more ozone and can be used for larger applications.
