Portable Brix Meter

The KEM, Japan Brixmeter model BX1 is an automatic, digital system with an LCD display. The range is continuous between 0 – 85%Brix. The resolution is 0.1%Brix. This system is equipped with temperature compensation and it can take samples from 10 to 75 Deg C.

WILE GRAIN MOISTURE METER: These Moisture meters are used to determine the moisture and the temperature of grains, fodder or straw through conductivity principle. The model Wile 26 is a simple, direct reading system with a digital screen. It can be calibrated with a known sample.

Alveo Consistograph

The Alveoconsistograph is a system which measure the Baking Strength of the dough. It consists of three parts – the Alveogram, the Consistograph and the Alveolink.

Alveograph is the traditional system which gives the Alveogram. The Consistograph part measures apart from other things, the Water absorbtion capability of the Dough. Then the Alveolink automatically calculates the P, the L and the W characteristics of the dough. The Alveolink can give the results of just the Alveogram or the Adapted Hydration Alveogram. The Adapted Hydration Alveogram is derived by taking the Water absorbtion capacity of the dough and applying it on the Alveogram.

Mixolab

Mixolab is a device to derive total information about the flour characteristics in one single test. This system anticipates the dough behaviour during kneading and baking. From Mixolab one can derive the following results:

Water Absorbtion.
Gluten Strength
Viscosity
Amylolyse

Labmill

Chopin manufactures two types of Laboratory mills and they are CD1 and CD2.

CD1:This mill simulates an industrial mill. It has a break part which passes the wheat between 3 grooved rollers twice. Then it sifts it through a centrifugal sifter. There is also a conversion part and the sample is made to pass through 2 smooth rollers by pressure. This mill comples with the ISO 27971 standard which describes the test milling methodology for the Alveograph tests.

CD2: This is the mill which produces semolina out of durum wheat. The CD2 has a breaking part passing between 3 grooved rollers and the sifting is done by a centrifugal sifters. The reduction side is again passed through 3 grooved rollers.

The above mills help the researchers or the millers to optimise and blend various types of wheats or to determine the extraction rate of a sample.

Infrared Analyser

CHOPIN INFRARED ANALYSERS:

MODEL INFRANEO: The Chopin Model Infraneo is an NIR system’s principle functionality is through Transmission. It helps to determine rapidly parameters such as Protein, Moisture, Specific weight etc in a very short time. The primary analysis for these parameters take a very long time and thus the Infraneo becomes a very important tool during processing. This system can analyse both whole grains and also powder.

This system works very efficiently even when calibrations are transferred between the equipments. As such, multiple users can use this system in many of their locations and transfer the calibration taken from one location easily to another.

MODEL INFRANEO JUNIOR: This is a low-cost version of Infraneo and has limited calibration features compared to Infraneo.

Gluten Analyser

The Gluten Analyser is a system consisting of Gluten Washer and a Centrifuge. The Gluten Washer is the one which washes the washable protein and the starches. The rest would be the Gluten quantity.

The Centrifuge would give the Gluten quality.
