Tunnelling

We are constructing nine adjacent tunnels aggregating about 10 Km in Jammu region for KRCL. We have also been entrusted with another Tunnel Project valuing USD 325 Mn. from the Border Roads Organisation (In JV with Strabag of Austria). AFCONS entered into the field of tunnelling in the late eighties when it carried out tunnelling work for Calcutta Metro Railway, wherein a special blade shield technique was used for the construction of tunnel in soft soil. The complete blade shield was designed and fabricated indigenously by AFCONS.
