CROCK METER – DIGITAL MODEL is used to determine the Color Fastness against rubbing (Dry/Wet). 
With Pre-set Counter with LCD Display.One of the test for determination of colour fastness of dyed or printed textiles or leather is the crocking test.  This crock meter suppliers is used for the determination of colour fastness against rubbing, either under dry or under wet conditions.  In this test and moving brass finger of specified shape and size rubs against the test specimens under test and the amount of colour transferred to a piece of abradant fabric fixed over the base of the moving finger are graded with the help of standard grey scales to evaluate the colour fastness against rubbing.

The ‘VGOTECH’ Crock Meter Suppliers consists of a rigid flat metalic platform on which the test specimen can be held firmly and a abrading finger which rubs against it under a specified load.The platform is fixed over the base of the equipment and lies in a horizontal plane.The test specimen is held firmly over an abrasive paper which is pasted on the upper face of the platform, with the help of two pins holding it at both ends.

The abrading finger has a flat circular rubbing face which is covered with 4 piece of white abradant fabric during the test.  The abradant fabrics picks up colour lost by the test specimen during rubbing.  It is held over the finger with the help of a tapered ring.  Motion to the finger is given through a reciprocating arm with runs an two ball bearings to minimize friction and to apply a uniform load on the finger. The arm is moved by a manually operated crank and connecting link.

The Washing Fastness Tester is used for determining colour fastness of textile materials to washings.  This is attained by mechanically agitating a specimen of textile in contact with pieces of specified adjacent fabrics in a soap – soda solution.  Before being rinsing and dried.  The change in colour of specimen and stains of the adjacent fabrics are assessed with standard Grey Scale.

The ‘VGOTECH’ WASHING FASTNESS TESTER’ consists of a thermostatically controlled, electrically heated water bath made of Stainless Steel.  The bath is heated by means of immersion heaters and its temperature controlled by a capillary type thermostat.  The temperature of water inside the bath is displayed on a digital temperature indicator.  The bath has a double walled hinged lid made of stainless steel sheets.

 

The jars in which the test solution and the test specimens are kept during the test are made from stainless steel and are provided with rubber scales for water tight closing.  They are held in a cast aluminium rotor assembly mounted on a stainless steel shaft at the center of the bath and rotating  about a horizontal axis with the help of a geared Motor.  A clockwork timer is provided to stop the motor after a pre-determined time. The apparatus is fabricated on a sturdy angle iron frame and is completely enclosed on all four sides with mild steel sheet duly enameled in metallic green paint.  The top of the apparatus is covered with stainless steel sheet.

One hundred stainless steel balls of 6 mm diameter are supplied with the apparatus as standard accessory for providing beating action during the washing operation.  Extra stainless steel balls and standard Grey Scales are available as optional accessory.

VGOTECH Light Fastness Tester Suppliers is used for determination of Colour Fastness to light using a 500 W mercury Ballast Tungsten Filament Lamp & internally phosphor coated.  The equipment is suitable for all types of textiles except photocrometic coloured textiles.

PRINCIPLE :

A test specimen together with blue wool standards is exposed to the light from a MBTL fading lamp. The colour fastness of specimen is assessed by comparing its fastness with that of 1-8 Blue Wool standards.

EQUIPMENT :

The unit consists of a hollow cylinder of metal open at both ends with an internal dia of –18” & length of 18” A 500 W MBTL fading Lamp is mounted centrally so that the light distribution is constant around the circumference.An hour meter with buzzer and an hour totaliser are mounted on the base.  Four specimen holders are installed at equidistance in inner circumference of cylinder along with metal sheet mask to cover half of each test specimen & the standards.

Sublimation Tester is a suitable instrument for dyestuff manufacturers as will as textile processors for checking the effects of dry heat on dyestuff.  Sublimation fastness and staining effect properties of individual dyer can be tested at various temperatures.  In a single test, entire range of effective temperature can be tested.  The heating pads are made up of hard chromed electrolytic copper for even and quick distribution of heat LED indicators and fuses are provided for each pad.

The sample for testing is cut in 70 mm x 500 mm size and is sandwiched between while pieces of same material.  It is then spread on the heat pads and the handle is pressed down.  At the end of set time the handle is released automatically.  The results of sublimation fastness and staining of white fabrics are then checked & samples are graded accordingly.

Beasley Balance For warp & weft count from a fabric-with 2nos. Riders & a template.

The count of yarn is defined as a number indicating its weightage.  In direct system, the count is the weight of a unit length of yarn for example - “TEX” is number of grams in one kilometer length of yarn, “DENINER” is number of grams in 9000 meters of Yarn. In INDIRECT System, the count is the number of units of fixed length of yarn which makes a fixed weight for example “COTTON” is number of hanks of yarn in a pound. “METRIC” is number of kilometers of yarn in one Kilogram.

Irrespective of the system of count, two basic requirements for determining count are :

An accurate determination of sample length ; and
An accurate determination of its weight.

The method of determination of count depends to a large extent on the form in which the yarn is available for testing. When a yarn is in the form of a Bobbin, a known sample length can be taken by forming a skein on a WRAP REEL and suspending it on the hook of “QUADRANT BALANCE”.  The count is then read directly from the Quadrant Scale.  When warp and weft count of yarn, taken from a small piece of fabric is required, it is cut into small lengths with a template and the total number of yarn lengths which are required to balance a standard weight on the beam directly gives the count of the yarn.  This measurement is carried out with the help of a Beasley Balance.

The ‘VGOTECH’ Beasley Balance consists of a light weight beam pivoted on jewel bearings with a hook at one end and a pointer at the other.  The beam is initially leveled to bring the pointer against a Datum line.  A standard weight is suspended in a notch on the beam arm on the pointer side.  A template is used to cut short lengths of yarn, the length depending upon the count system required.  These length are placed on the hook until the pointer comes against the Datum line.  The number of short lengths required to balance the beam gives the count of the yarn.

BUNDASMANN TESTER

Its used to determination of water repellency, resistance to wetting & resistance to penetration of fabric.

Determination of water repellency, resistance to wetting (in term of water absorb) and resistance to penetration (in term of water penetrated) of fabric done by an instrument known as Bundasmann type apparatus.

The Vgotech Bundasmann type apparatus made of four specimen holders which holds four specimens of the fabrics under test, the specimen holders are rotate at the fixed RMP by means of an worm reduction gear box and an electric motor.  The four specimen holders are mounted on the assembly so that the specimens are tilted at specified angle to the horizontal.  Each sample holder are provided with four wiper arms fixed at right angle to each other and rotating about the axis of the cup.  There are two tanks one at the bottom where the sample holder assembly is fixed and the other is fitted at the top of the instrument, where the brass jets are fitted,

The water flow from the lower tank to the upper tank by means of a centrifugal pump.  There are gate valve for drain the water from the lower tank.  The filter is provided on the pipeline of the pump.  There is a tube, which indicate the level of the water in the upper tank.  The transparent glass is mounted on the window for the transparency of the sample in testing while the window is closed.

All parts, which are in contact with the water, are made of stainless steel aluminum and brass for corrosion resistance.  The instrument is painted in metallic paints and black powder coating for corrosion resistance.

Bursting Strength Tester

BURSTING STRENGTH TESTER – Bursting Strength Tester is used to check the bursting strength of fabrics, sheet, papers, etc. 
Bursting strength tester of any material such as fabric, leather, paper, paper board & corrugated box etc. Its strength under multi- directional force and is defined, as the hydrostatic pressure required producing rapture of the material when pressure is applied at a controlled increasing rate through a rubber diaphragm.

The VGOTECH Bursting Strength Tester Suppliers is designed to find bursting strength tester suppliers of fabric/ leather/ paper/paper board & corrugated box. A test specimen is held between two annular clamps under sufficient pressure to minimize slippage.The clamping is done by hand wheel/screw arrangement or by pneumatic pressure with pressure gauge, solenoid valve and pressure regulator as per model. The upper clamping surface which is in contact with the test specimens has a continuous spiral grooves. A circular diaphragm of pure gum rubber is clamped between the lower clamping plate & pressure cylinder so that before the diaphragm is stretched by pressure underneath it the center of its upper surface is below the plane of the clamping surface.

The Bursting Strength Tester equipment is fitted with a motor driven screw mechanism, which increases fluid displacement on the lower side of the diaphragm at a specified rate. The Bursting Strength Tester equipment is fitted with an arrangement, which automatically brings down the pressure and stops the motor on completion of the test cycle. A maximum reading type pressure gauge (or pressure sensor and digital indicator with peak hold and tare facility in digital model) gives the bursting pressure.
