TiTaN's titanium Anode Baskets are fabricated from the finest grade of titanium and are very durable. Titanium Baskets have an excellent finish and are designed with the sides and base made from a solid sheet and the hooks welded to ensure good electrical conductivity. Anode baskets can be made in all grades of titanium depending on the application.

TiTaN fabricates larger, non-standard sizes and round baskets. The non-standard baskets include Spiral anode baskets in various lengths, Conforming Anode baskets for Barrel plating, Reel to Reel Plating Baskets, Special Application Baskets. By its nature of high corrosion resistance, tantalum is widely used in the chemical (pharmaceutical or pharma, specialty chemical & dyes) engineering field.

There are certain economical considerations which forces the industry to look into glass which is similar to tantalum , by its corrosion resistant property.

Though glass plays the role of tantalum in certain areas, tantalum has got the market by it's excellent mechanical and metal property and by the way of arresting the breakages / leaks of the glass equipments (using tantalum repair kit) due to it's own property.

Platinised Anodes ( Pt Anode ) are produced by coating platinum ( Pt ) on a specially treated precious metal ( Titanium / Niobium / Tantalum / Zirconium ) substrate by means of electrodeposition process. They are economical as well as it retains the superior physical and chemical properties of platinum.

According to the substrate material used, the platinized anodes are classified as

TiTaN's platinized niobium wire anodes are designed for effective operating in fresh, brackish and saltwater; used in all types of aqueous storage and process equipment. These anode aren't adversely affected by high chloride concentrations. Also platinized tubular / rod anodes are used for cathodic protection in seawater environment Because of its low consumption rate, the anode may be employed in a cathodic protection system to achieve a long life.

TiTaN offers the PLATMA series platinized Titanium insoluble anodes for Copper applications for printed circuits using pulse periodic reverse (PPR) technology, with an Iridium or Mixed Metal Oxide (MMO) -coated Ti substrate.

Use of special type anodes increases in the electroplating bath’s life. Anode maintenance is also minimised and there is no need to stop lines to clean and replenish anodes, change anode bags and re-film anodes. This increases the productivity and a reduction in labour costs. Insoluble special anodes also prevent potential problems with metal particulates associated with soluble anodes, which threaten to come onto on the plated substrate, creating a reject.

TiTaN's EPMA series Platinized Titanium Anodes properly applies chromium deposits which protect the engraving and improves the performance through several press runs without contaminating the bath. Our wide-range of anode products and our special electro-chemical expertise make sure that we can offer a complete range of electroplating anodes. TiTaN offers anodes for full range of sizes up to any barrel lengths.

Plating of fine chromium structure over rotogravure cylinders / rollers protects the engraved copper deposits and the cylinder from wear caused by paper and grit abrasion under normal conditions during press runs of any length. Thus enabling the cylinder to print in clearer, sharper lines for the long run with greater corrosion resistance.

Ballast water released during various stages of the ship’s journey, including at sea, along coastlines, and in various ports, results a diverse mix of organisms transported and released around the world.In addition, ballast water can carry organisms that endanger public health, including toxic dinoflagellates and cholera bacteria, having ecological effects.

In order to stop an invasion, organisms must not be discharged from ballast tanks. This action can be achieved by not taking organisms into ballast tanks, killing organisms during the voyage, or not discharging organisms when ballast water is released.

AME EDI™ Membrane Cell uses Reverse Osmosis (RO) product water as feed to produce consistently high quality pure water for all your pure water needs ,effectively replacing chemically regenerated deionizer without the chemicals, regeneration steps and associated labor.

AME EDI™ electro de-ionisation cell eliminates all hazardous acid and caustic neutralization required by chemical deionizer regenerations which result in large excesses of salts to drain.

In electrooxidation process, electric current applied into the electrolytic chamber (electrooxidation reactor / cell ) causes the colloidal impurities to de-stabilize, resulting in agglomeration and flotation and subsequent removal. Dissolved impurities contributing BOD / COD also get oxidized due to the oxidizing agents released by the electrolytic solution which changes them into a state that is either less colloidal and less emulsified (or soluble) . The contaminants get precipitated and can easily be removed by secondary separation techniques.

The principle of impressed current cathodic protection is in connecting an external anode to the material to be protected from corrosion and passing of an external ( impressed ) electrical DC current.

PLATINIZED IMPRESSED CURRENT CATHODIC PROTECTION ANODE
These impressed current anodes are also known as dimensionally stable anode or insoluble anodes. Platinum is an excellent anode material due to its high conductivity and low consumption rate. Due to its high cost, it is not economical to use platinum by itself. So that platinized anodes are produced by electroplating a thin layer of platinum over a lower cost substrate such as titanium, tantalum, niobium or zirconium etc.

Anodes are specially designed for aqueous environments with a PVC perforated tube that directs current flow and provides extra protection to the anode.

The traditional large and heavy impressed-current anodes are thought to be the only way for preventing corrosion in numerous types of buried and submerged structures. With the development of the mixed metal oxide anodes, the idea has been greatly challenged.The coating of the mixed metal oxides on the anodes has an almost negligible consumption rate of less than 1.0 mg/amp-yr. TiTaN manufactures the complete solid mixed-metal oxide anodes for use in a variety of corrosion-prone environments. The anodes are composed of titanium rod, titanium tube, titanium ribbon mesh substrates, which are coated with amixed-metal-oxide catalyst. The titanium substrate, totally stable, transfers direct electrical current through the mixed-metal-oxide coating.

ON SITE ELECTROCHLORINATION (SEA WATER TREATMENT USING ELECTROLYSIS PROCESS)

ON SITE ELECTROCHLORINATION (BRINE CHLORINATION) It is a simple and proven technology to convert ordinary salt (common salt), by means of electrolysis into 1st grade sodium hypochlorite (ELECTRO HYPO) using RT CHLOR® SERIES hypochlorite generators ( electro chlorinator system). It is always applied on-site, at the point of application. No chemicals other than ordinary salt are used throughout the process.

The RT® Mobile chlor unit incorporates electrochlorination (electrolysis) process that provides totally safe, excellent quality and usable water. The electro-chlorination process at-site demands no harmful chemicals(chlorine) as required by other systems, only common salt as brine solution or salt water (swimming pool) is required for chlorine generation to devitalize the bacteria and viruses.

The heart of this treatment system is the KLOROGEN®-SC Series electro-chlorine generator, a biocidal production electrolyzer that kills microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, cysts, protozoa and algae spores on contact.
