Heated Hoses

Heated Hoses are needed to maintain critical temperatures, to avoid condensation of gas or drop in fluid temperature during Gas Analyzer Sampling, Hot Melt Transfer, Petroleum or Chemical Transfers and Food Processing. These flexible and lightweight tubes can withstand aggressive high pressure fluids and high temperatures involved in transfer of fluids. 

 
Construction

Heated Hose comprises of a process tube bundled with insulated electrical heating element and wrapped with a heat reflecting foil. Temperature sensor is provided at about 300 mm from power connection end. This bundle is insulated and provided with an outer jacket. Ends are sealed suitably and electrical connections for both power and control are brought out.

Thermo Heating Jackets are ideally suited to raise or maintain elevated temperatures of the contents in reaction vessels, storage tanks, tankers and process equipments in industries. Construction
Thermo heating jackets comprise of flexible heating elements, distributed very uniformly on to a fibreglass or quartz cloth carrier. The fibreglass or quartz cloth carrier is tailored to the shape of the vessel to be heated. Eye-lets and laces provided on the panels, ensure a snug fit of heater on the surface being heated, avoiding any air gaps. The heating elements terminate on cold leads, which are connected to the power supply.

Construction
Drum Heaters consist of a cylindrical metal cover carrying the flexible heating elements. A 2" thick thermal lagging of glass wool provides insulation and the metal casing makes for a rugged unit that can be wrapped snugly around the drum. The Drum Heater is hinged, and is mounted on castors for convenience. A base heater, also encapsulated in metal provides bottom heating. Control Panel incorporating thermostatic control is provided with the heaters.

Self Trace GDIT-SR range of self regulating cables can be used for protection against freezing on roofs or roof gutters.
Operating  Principle

Selftrace derives its self-regulating characteristic from the inherent properties of the semi conductive core material.

 
As the core material temperature increases, the number of conductive paths in the core material decreases, thus decreasing the heat output. As the temperature decreases, the number of conductive paths increases, causing the heat output to increase. This occurs at every point along the cable’s length, adjusting the power output to the varying conditions.  As the cable self-regulates its heat output, it limits the maximum sheath temperature, thus making it burn-out proof.

Floor Heating Cables

Thermo Floor Heating Cables (FHC) again a robust and tough cable which can be embedded in the concrete slab floors for floor heating applications. FHC are ideally suited for installation in large areas like homes, green houses, sports fields, warehouses, shopping malls or factories.
Construction
FHC comprises of a resistant element provided with a primary insulation of fluoropolymer, covered with Earth Screen and Low Smoke Zero Halogen. They terminate on cold leads of 2.5m length.


Heating cables could be single conductor with 4.5 mm outer diameter and terminating on cold leads at two ends of the Heating Cable or could be twin conductor with 5.3 mm outer diameter and terminating on cold leads at one end of Heating Cable. FHC comes with a 2.5m length cold leads as a standard.
 

Aluminium Foil Defrost Heater

Anti-condensation & Defrost Heaters are Aluminium Foil heaters and ideally suited for surface heating applications. These heaters are used for anti-condensation and defrosting applications in refrigerators, cold storages and similar applications. 

These are also used in mirror heating for removal of moisture on mirrors in bathrooms. Other applications include Battery Warmers, Cabinets, Heated Food Tables, Laboratory & Medical Equipment and Incubators etc.

Aluminium Foil Heaters comprises PVC insulated heating element, heat welded to vinyl coated side of Aluminium foil or PVC/Silicon Rubber insulated heating element, sandwiched between two layers of Aluminium foil. The bottom side of the Aluminium foil is provided with pressure sensitive adhesive coating for fixing on the surface to be heated. The heating element ends on cold lead of desired length for power connection.

Aluminium Foil heaters can also be provided with a temperature limiter preset at desired temperature for precise control.

Application

A crankcase heater is an electrical component in a compressor in an air-conditioning system, heat pump system, or a chiller system. The crankcase heater is normally ON all the time even when the unit is not running, though temperature sensors and set points may be used to turn it off when not needed. 

A crankcase heater's sole purpose is to prevent refrigerant migration and mixing with crankcase oil, when the unit is off, and to prevent condensation of refrigerant in the crankcase of a compressor. The crankcase heater is designed to keep the refrigerant at a temperature higher than the coldest part of the system. The resistance of the crankcase heater determines the heat it will produce when voltage is applied.

Door Heating Cable

The main feature of Door Heating Cable (SHC-CTL) is a uniform specific charge on its entire length, granting the possibility to manage the specific power independently from the required cable length.

Cut to length constant power output cables are manufactured by winding the heating wire to the phase and neutral bus bars on which silicone rubber is extruded.

A section of the insulation on bus bar is removed after each 500mm creating the electrical contact. The product is provided wound in coils, to be cut and finished according to the specific needs.

A metal braid can be added on the external Silicone rubber insulation to protect the cable from mechanical stress and improve its thermal distribution. It can act as well as grounding.

Door Heating Cables are designed for use in industrial and commercial refrigeration (anticondensation for refrigerated display cabinets, doors for cold storage rooms). Their great flexibility suits the requirement of industrial and commercial refrigeration.

SMM comprise of flexible plastic grid that carry heating cable uniformly fixed on it. The heating cable is a snow melting cable consisting a resistance element provided with primary fluoropolymer insulation, metal shielding and secondary insulation of Low Smoke Zero Halogen.

Heating cables could be single conductor with 5.0 mm outer diameter and terminating on cold leads at two ends of the mat or could be twin conductor with 6.0 mm outer diameter and terminating on cold leads at one end of the mat. SMM come with a 5.0 m length cold leads as a standard.

Thermo Freeze Protection Cables (FPC) are the robust and tough cables designed for "on pipe" as well as "in pipe" applications in domestic 
and commercial requirement to protect water from freezing. They are adaptable to all areas where natural frost protection cannot be achieved.

FPC-C : FPC-C is a twin conductor series resistance heating cable comprising of resistance elements provided with primary insulation of Fluoropolymer, then metal sheath on twin conductor and Polyolefin outer jacket. They terminate on cold leads of 2.0m length with plug.

FPC consists of a heating element provided with primary Fluoropolymer insulation covered with a metal sheath and outer sheath of polyolefin material. These are available in a wide range of capacities in predetermined lengths with 2M cold lead and a plug as a standard.

Thermotar Asphalt Snow Melting Cables And Mats

ThermoTAR Snow Melting Cables (SMC-FE) and Snow Melting Mats (SMM-FE) are special cables with enhanced temperature withstand ability and mechanical strength. These can be used for asphalt drive-ways, pavements, roads, parking-bays, when hot asphalt is directly poured on the cable while laying.
 

Asphalt from the asphalt machine in general has a temperature of 170-240 �C. SMC-FE cables and SMM-FE mats are suitable for withstanding this temperature for up to 10 minutes. The cable is developed according to IEC 800 Class C, which means that the cable has deformation strength of 2000N.
Construction
The ThermoTAR range consists of a resistance element provided with primary fluoropolymer insulation, metal shielding and secondary insulation of high temperature material.

Heating cables could be single conductor with around 6.0mm outer diameter terminating on cold leads at two ends of the cable or it could be twin conductor with around 7.0mm outer diameter and terminating on cold leads at one end of the cable. Asphalt SMC comes with a 5.0 m length cold leads as a standard.

Thermotrace FTT is a constant wattage, Series type heat tracers consisting of "Go and Return" multistrand heating elements insulated with PTFE. The entire tracer is Stainless Steel wire braided for mechanical protection and earth continuity. The heating element terminates on cold leads with suitable gland connections. An outer jacket is offered as an option for corrosive atmospheres

Hermotrace Self Limiting Tracer

Insulation Pads

Thermal Insulation Pads are ideal for gas turbines, valves, filters, meters and other accessories in a process line. They insulate the hot surface, ensuring energy conservation, protection of operators and providing comfortable work environment. These are typically used as a backing over the heating jacket or heating panel, to ensure better heat efficiencies and minimal energy loss is minimal. 

The flexible construction of 'Thermo Insulation Pads' enables tailoring to any complex shapes and providing a perfect, snug fit on complex shaped surfaces. 

Construction

Insulation pads consist of 2" thick (or as required) lagging of fibre glass wool insulation, embedded in two layers of fibre glass cloth. Outer layer of fibre glass cloth can be flame retardant aluminized or PVC coated or Teflon coated as required.. The final pad is shaped based on the required surface to be insulated to encapsulate the surface or equipment in it. Required cutouts for obstructions and velcrow or eyelets and strapping lays are provided to make it snug fit on the surface or equipment.

   

Range

Insulation pads are designed for a maximum surface temperature of 300ºC. 
Every Insulation pad is custom designed based on customer requirement.
