S. S. Nickel Chrome Plating
Nickel electroplating is a technique of electroplating a thin layer of nickel onto a metal object. The nickel layer can be decorative, provide corrosion resistance, wear resistance, or used to build up worn or undersized parts for salvage purposes. Nickel plating for stainless steel can offer benefits to parts under high amounts of stress, but it also increases electrical conductivity, thus making it ideal for battery and generator applications.
For most exterior components requiring corrosion protection and wear, a bright nickel layer is plated over semi-bright nickel plating, and then covered with a thin application of chrome plating. This provides a hard, decorative chrome finish that can withstand the elements, and is very popular for parts that are exposed to the elements, such as in automobiles and motorcycles.
For critical corrosion resistant applications S. S. Electro Bright can provide up to 5 unique layers of nickel plating to maximize corrosion resistance and luster
The look of bright decorative chrome plating can also be achieved without the cost of rack chrome plating with our new hexavalent-free ReplaChrome® Chrome Replacement Technology.
S. S. Electro Bright Company provides nickel-chrome plating on a wide range of metal substrates, including steel, brass, zinc die-cast and stainless steel.
