Skipper's strong focus and commitment towards product quality has made it the manufacturing partner of choice to Powergrid Corporation of India (PGCIL) - the world's largest transmission utility and also Ramboll - world's largest tower design company. Skipper is one of the first companies in India to manufacture and supply 800 KV Transmission towers successfully to Powergrid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL - India's Central Transmission Utility). The organization is also amongst the few manufacturers in the country that have the capability to manufacture 1,200 kV towers and Transmission Monopoles, which are being deployed for the first time in India.

Skipper's Steel Poles are used extensively for Power Distribution & Lighting projects in India (RGGVY and APDRP) as well as Gulf & African countries. Poles are supplied as painted or galvanized as per project requirements.

Our wide selection of commercial poles comprises Tubular Swaged poles, High Mast Poles and Octagonal poles. Our product value chain begins with the procurement of Hot Rolled Coils, confirming to IS : 10748 / IS : 5986 or equivalent standards which are then, either used as inputs for the manufacture of Steel Tubes and subsequently for Swaged Poles, or straight away slit and cut to size for manufacture of High Mast / Octagonal Poles. The 14 metre long Galvanizing unit (one of the largest in India) ensures that all sizes of Poles & Structures can be galvanized in a single dip, thereby eliminating double-dipping and zinc marks.

Skipper entered into Hot Rolled Angle production in 2010 as a Backward Integration for it's tower units. This integration not only allows Skipper to have full quality control over it's end product with 100% raw material traceability but also ensures on demand raw material availability for critical manufacturing. Skipper's has flexibility to roll Angles of any grades and lengths. Use of modern and efficient Heating and Recuperator systems ensures lesser Fuel consumption in our Hot Rolled Production.

Skipper commenced manufacturing for Mild Steel & High Tensile Fasteners in 2013 which are an integral part of the Tower package. Today, Skipper has the capability of manufacturing a wide range of Bolt/Nuts/washers with in-house Galvanizing to ensure faster erection turn-around for it's customers and also reducing the need for storing surplus inventory at site.

Skipper made it's first entry into the Hot Forging manufacturing by starting Tower Accessories. These are used for fecilitating connection between the Tower and conductors and although small, are critical for commencement of Erection activities. Some of our Products are as follows :
