Dynamic Braking

Dynamic Braking is a form of Electrical Braking and for this purpose the Resistance used across the motor armature is called Dynamic Braking Resistor.

For applying Dynamic Braking the motor is disconnected from the supply, the field connection are reverse and the motor is connected with a resistor hence the machine would run as a generator
