Sinemax Range – Aluminium Connectors up to 220kV
Our “Sinemex” range includes aluminium alloy clamps and connectors for any substation application up to 220kV using aluminium conductors / tubes. These connectors are equipped with either HDG orStainless steel fasteners. These widerange connectors allow flexibility in terms of utilization and quick delivery. These products meet the IS and NEMA standards for substation connectors.

These tools intended to splice and terminate cable while meeting specific application needs including accurate removal of insulation, semi-conductive sheathing, protective jacketing and other materials to produce a consistent, uniform preparation of cable ends.

Polymeric Insulators
Our competence in materials science is fundamental to our ability to design polymeric insulators that more than meet application requirements even for severe environments. We have worked closely with customers to optimize the design and installation of our products in some of the most challenging environments in the world. Polymeric insulators are based on our 35 years of rich experience in the field of crosslinked polymers for medium- and high-voltage applications. They consist of a polymeric housing over a pultruded fibre glass rod to which galvanized steel or aluminum end fittings are attached.
Operating Rods
Raychem’s Operating Rods are hollow or solid insulation parts made of fiber-reinforced epoxy resins with metal connection fittings. They can withstand extreme mechanical and electrical loads and are suitable for integration in high voltage equipments where high insulation strength combined with high mechanical strength and low weight is an asset. Operating Rods are used for voltage levels ranging from 50 kV to 800 kV. They are available in various diameters.

LV ABC

Anti-theft system in overhead networks distribution
Distribution Boxes
Distribution Boxes incorporate busbars with unique and patented spring-action contacts. Installed where multiple tapping on low voltage distribution network is required, the boxes are assembled on the pole using metal straps or bolts and are easily fed from secondary line.
Anti-theft tamper proof meter units
Meter Unit with ‘NRP’ technology offered by Raychem RPG has an innovative solution to encompass energy meter, to prevent tampering on low voltage distribution networks and the non-reversible plug-in type LT connector, to make it completely theft free and tamper proof.
Raychem RPG’s Meter Unit is 100% transparent from all sides and made of flame retardant V0 grade polycarbonate with high durability and weathering resistance solution.
This Meter Unit comes with non-reversible, anti-theft locking system. A box once closed & sealed cannot be opened without breaking it, thereby making it safe and secure.
Low Loss Wedge Connectors
Raychem Wedge Utility Connectors are designed around an engineering principle which we call ‘Wedge Pressure Technology’.
Wedge Pressure Technology has formed the basis for a complete family of connectors that outperforms other convectional connector technologies, resulting in ‘lowest life cycle cost’. Wedge Connectors (Boltless Connectors) overcome the physical and electrical limitations of traditional compression or bolted connectors; resulting in low technical losses and efficient, consistent current flow.
Medium Voltage Covered Conductors (MVCC)
Raychem’s Medium Voltage Covered Conductors provide the effective solutions to prevent the revenue loss due to theft by direct tapping, tree faults and other problems associated with bare overhead conductors.
Raychem’s covered conductors have been tested across two conductors of 22kV for upto 300 hrs, after which the test was discontinued. This has proved the reliability and effectiveness of MVCC in preventing the system failure on account of transient faults created in system due to falling trees or branches.

Transformer is a vital component of a distribution system. It has to deliver Reliable Power in a safe & efficient manner. However, 8% of the transformers installed worldwide fail on account of improper connector systems.
A conventional connector system used for LV cable connection, deploys crimping and tightening of the bolts. Over a period of time, it leads to a loose electrical contacts which causes sparks and hot spots. The contact resistance is high which adds to the losses of ailing utilities. The weight of the connector causes mechanical strains on the bushing of the transformer, leading to oil leakages.
