Panasonic Carbon India Co. Ltd (Formerly Indo Matsushita Carbon Co. Limited) founded in 1982. Panasonic Carbon India Co. Limited entered into a Foreign Collaboration Agreement with Matsushita Group, Presently, Panasonic Corporation, Japan, in the year 1982 for obtaining Technical know-how and assistance for manufacture and sale of Midget Electrodes (Carbon Rods). Today, Panasonic Carbon India Co. Ltd is the sole manufacturer of high standard Carbon Rods in India and a leading manufacturer of Carbon Rods in the World.
The foundation stone of Panasonic Carbon India Co. Ltd (Formerly Indo Matsushita Carbon Co. Limited) was laid on 7th February, 1982 by Mr. T. Yamashita, President, Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. Ltd, Presently, Panasonic Corporation, Japan, at Tada Mandal, Nellore District, Andhra Pradesh.
