The DM and DL series are general purpose self operated pressure reducing regulators, suitable for controlling many kinds of fluids. These self acting control valves keep the outlet pressure constant irrespective of variation in inlet pressure and flow through the valve. Different soft sealing discs are available for various fluids for wide pressure and temperature range up to 190°C. Stainless Steel diaphragms are available for higher temperatures & steam service. These regulators have built in safety feature against high inlet pressure. The DL series valves are a variation of DM series, generally used for pressure settings lower than 1500 mm WCg (0.15 bar g). The DL series valves can control downstream pressure as low as 40 mm WCg.
SERIES DP3100 is pilot loaded (self actuated) pressure regulators for general purpose pressure regulating applications. These regulators are best suited for delivering constant reduced pressure of pre-filtered, non-corrosive gases used in industrial, commercial & process plant applications. Double stage pilot provides excellent control of outlet pressure with versatile turn down ratio. Additionally the main regulator balanced trim design with external sensing exhibits excellent control of downstream pressure even with very high variations in inlet pressure.
The BP Series are general purpose self operated pressure relieving upstream pressure regulator, suitable for controlling many kinds of fluids. These regulators open in proportion to the rise in inlet pressure beyond set value. Different soft sealing discs are available for various fluids for wide pressure and temperature range upto 200°C. The metal sealing surface used at higher temperature is carefully lapped to ensure shut off. These Back pressure Regulating Valves are also well suited for high & varying differential pressures. The BP-L Series valves are variation of BP Series, generally used for pressure setting lower than 1500 mmWCg (0.15 Barg)
Why Tank Blanketing?
In refineries & chemicals plants explosive hazards occur if air enters tanks containing volatile flammable liquid during pumping operation. When liquid is removed from a tank or an ambient temperature reduces, vacuum may develop.
Hence, for optimum protection of tank, contents and the environment, a low positive constant gas pressure is maintained in the vapor space of a storage tank. A blanketing gas, nitrogen being the most popular, serves to reduce the oxygen content in the vapor space, making it inert and eliminate the possibility of combustion. It also prevents the ingress of air and moisture from entering the storage vessel. When liquid is removed from tank or an ambient temperature reduces, vacuum may develop. Blanketing system prevents any vacuum from development and maintain the desired blanket pressure. In addition to this, a blanketing gas pressure reduces the evaporation of the stored product to a negligible amount. The result not only conserves product but also greatly reduces emissions. Quality of chemicals which gets affected by contact of moisture or oxygen, is protected by blanketing. These advantages are in addition to the fire protection that is provided.
What is Flame Arresting? The accidental ignition of flammable gases or vapours from vent pipes of storage tank or process vessel presents a constant threat to plant and personnel. The use of flame arresters is one of the essential measures taken to avoid or minimize the possible consequences. Their application is widespread, ranging from the protection of small solvent tanks to the safety of large and complex process plant. The oil, gas, petroleum, chemical and petrochemical industries are major users.
A flame arrester is a static device which stops a flame entering into the storage tank or process vessel containing a flammable gas or vapour. An end-of-line type flame arrester is fitted at the extreme downstream end of a pipeline.
The arrester consists of a flame quenching, element contained within a housing which incorporates thread or flange connections for fitting to pipework. The element is often of greater diameter than the pipework in order to compensate for pressure drop and therefore the housing is enlarged accordingly.
BV-100 & BV-101 series valves are highly developed pressure and vacuum relief valves with excellent flow performance. These valves are relief valves for atmospheric tanks & vessels in which solvents are filled and drawn at a high flow rate. This valve is installed in the in-and out breathing lines of tanks, vessels and process equipments to protect against unpredicted fluctuations in pressure & vacuum. By retaining toxic vapors and avoiding atmospheric contamination, these valves provide increased fire protection and safety.
Pressure cum vacuum relief breather valves are designed to protect tanks from possible casualty due to over pressure created by thermal expansion and product movement out of the tank and excessive vacuum created by thermal contraction and product movement out of the tank. At the same time it minimizes costly product evaporation / loss. Continued design improvements of these valves provide high efficiency, maximum flow capacity and minimum leakage.
TTS 105 Series – Pressure Vacuum Relief Valve With Integral Flame Arrestor
Series 105 – Pressure Vacuum Relief Valve With Integral Flame Arrestor Venting to Atmosphere with Weatherhood
Model 105 is highly advanced pressure and vacuum relief valve with integral flame arrester for having maximum protection and reliable operation.
High travel technology valve utlizes only 10% overpressure to reach full opening with very high flow capacity.
Inbuilt flame arresters not only provide exceptional protection against fire and explosion from external ignition, but also offer effective flow at the lowest resistance (pressure drop) of the flammable gas or vapor.
TTS Series 104R – Vapor Recovery Regulator / Back Pressure Relief Valve With Integral Vacuum Relief and Weight Loaded Relief with Flame Arrestor
Model 104R is pressure vacuum relief valve with integral flame arrester and diaphragm type vapor recovery regulator / back pressure relief valve with weight loaded relief valve.
It is designed to protect your tank from damage created over pressure or excessive vacuum with bubble tight shut off technology. At the same time it provides protection from externally caused sources of heat and ignition with integral flame arrester.
The vapor recovery regulator controls vessel vapor pressure / blanketing gas pressure when the vessel is being filled with fluid or when ambient temperature causes the vapors to expand the system monitors. The increasing blanketing pressure and throttles open to pass excess blanketing gas into a vapor disposal or reclamation system thus controlling the desired set pressure of the tank. The product vapors can be discharged through the pipe away connection flange which may be connected to a vapor recovery condenser or scrubber. If there is further increase in pressure due to any abnormal condition weight loaded relief valve will be in operation. When the set pressure is reached the pressure pallet lifts and relieves the tank pressure to the atmosphere.
