Micron Platers went into production in 1965 as a job plating shop. Towards the end of 1966 production of Silver Potassium Cyanide, Gold Potassium Cyanide, Silver Cyanide, Copper Cyanide and other metallic Cyanides commenced. Later the production of compounded salts of Precious Metals along with salts of Copper, Brass, Zinc and Cadmium were taken up.

Micron Platers was founded by Shri Dhirubhai P. Shah B.Sc., B.Sc.(Tech) who had a training in the laboratories at M/s. W.Canning & Ltd. Birmingham U.K. and was the first person in India to manufacture Metallic Cyanides on a commercial side.

In 1978, Shri Dinesh Shah B.Sc., joined the Company. He has several years of experience in the manufacture of Fine and Organic Chemicals and is responsible for synthesizing the Raw Materials and Ingredients of the Brighteners.
