HVAC thermometers are used for room temperature monitoring indoors and outdoors. They measure e.g. the air temperature in cold storage houses, air-conditioned rooms and production areas. Insertion thermometers are  e.g. installed in air ducts. With clamp-on thermometers pipe temperatures can easily be measured when the thermometers are mounted directly on the pipe surface within the insulation.
