Kineco has developed structural front end nose cones in glass fibre composites for DEMU, MEMU and Metro trains. For some of the front cabs Kineco did the turn-key job of concept design, engineering design, design validation using techniques like computational fluid dynamics (CFD) & Finite element analysis (FEA), tooling, prototyping, serial manufacturing and installation.

Front ends along with driver's console and cab interiors were made using fire retardant polyester as well as phenolic resin systems complying with various railway fire standards including BS 6853, UIC 564-2 & NCD-1409. Advanced manufacturing processes like resin infusion and vacuum bagging (inside autoclave) were adopted to ensure high mechanical properties of GRP laminate necessary for applications like train fronts. Kineco can integrate instrumentation, electrical items & cabling wherever necessary so as to provide plug & play features to the customers.

Kineco is mass manufacturing and supplying different types of driver's consoles for train applications. Kineco has experience in supplying these driver’s consoles for EMU, DEMU, MEMU trains and Locomotives.

Driver's desks are made using polyester / phenolic resin systems complying with various national / international fire standards for stringent requirements of flammability, smoke and toxicity (FST). GRP parts of driver’s desks are made using RTM, VARTM, resin infusion or conventional hand lay-up process capabilities.

Kineco is mass manufacturing and supplying hard seating system for sub-urban or metro trains. Seats are made using glass fibre composites or polycarbonate material with metallic support structure. Seats are made using polyester / phenolic resin systems or polycarbonate material complying with various national / international fire standards for stringent requirements of flammability, smoke and toxicity (FST).

GRP seat parts are made using RTM, VARTM, resin infusion, or conventional hand lay-up process capabilities while polycarbonate seats are made using thermoforming process. GRP seats can be supplied using specially printed surface veil which gives surface finish to tailor made designs or in painted finish.

Kineco is mass manufacturing and supplying train coach interior GRP parts like side wall / end wall panels, roof panels, ceiling sheets, partition panels etc. Kineco has experience in supplying these interior parts for sleeper and saloon cars for long distance passenger trains as well as suburban trains.

Kineco developed composite sky bus coaches for the 'Sky Bus Metro' project of Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (a Government of India undertaking). Kineco did the turn-key job of concept design and engineering design, design validation, tooling and prototyping. This unique mass transit system is based on an elevated set of tracks with electrically propelled twin cars that move above the city roadways. Being a suspended coach mass transit system, light weight was a pre-requisite and hence the selection of glass fibre composites as material of construction.

Kineco is mass manufacturing and supplying composite modular toilets for railway passenger coaches. Toilet modules are supplied in gel-coated or painted finish with necessary accessories and fittings. GRP parts of the module are made using polyester / phenolic resin systems complying with various national / international fire standards for stringent requirements of flammability, smoke and toxicity (FST). GRP parts are made using RTM, VARTM, resin infusion or conventional hand lay-up process capabilities.

Kineco has developed this innovative and unique under-carriage product for storing water in passenger train coaches. This was done in association with Advanced Composites Program (TIFAC), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India and IIT, Bombay. This product won the prestigious JEC Award for Excellence in Innovation in 2008.

This light weight underslung water tank is made using state-of-the-art CNC filament winding technology in single piece using glass-polyester construction. The water tank is provided with a thermoplastic liner and a PP protective shield for ballast hits. Tank mounting brackets are made with stainless steel.
