Transmission Line Towers
Karamtara is into Power Transmission & Distribution (T&D) Sector since inception. Transmission Line SBU is the primary and largest business vertical of the Company. It manufactures entire range of Transmission Line Towers used in power Transmission & Distribution (T&D), having manufacturing facility at Boisar, Tarapur, Dist Thane with a fabrication and galvanizing capacity of 108000 MT per annum thereby making Karamtara one of the largest tower manufacturing facility in India under one roof.
With more than a decade of proven excellence, it has capabilities to design, manufacture and supply Transmission Lines up to 1,200 kV.
It has a prequalification up to 765 kV from all the big customers including Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL).
It has successfully supplied over 450000 MT of Transmission Line Towers in more than 25 countries. Initially intended to manufacture Transmission Line Towers, today this SBU produces and galvanizes Telecommunication Towers as well as Substation Structures and Microwave Towers.
It also supplies Module Mounting Structures (MMS) for Solar Projects.
It has state-of-the-art fabrication equipment such as CNC machines from FICEP, Italy. We take great pride in our well trained, skilled & specialized engineers and technicians. Our manufacturing processes involve punching, cutting, and stamping, notching, welding, drilling, bending and hot dip galvanizing.
It has galvanizing baths of varying capacities and its galvanizing technology ensures meeting customized requirements of its fastidious clients. Its processes ensure high quality levels and productivity.
Our facility is amongst the most modern manufacturing facilities in the country. It is certified under ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 standards. Manufacturing processes are carried out as per IS, BS & ASTM standards. Chemical waste of its unit is treated as per prescribed environmental standards.
Profiles
In order to cater to its existing Transmission Line Business and other opportunities in Structural Steel Business in India and globally, we ventured into Structural Steel Business as backward integration strategy.
Since its inception in 2007, Karamtara Profiles has become a synonymous entity in the Structural Steel Business in India. Karamtara Profiles caters its equal steel angles with varied sizes ranging from 45x45 to 200x200 edge lengths for Transmission Line and Telecom Towers Businesses. The applications of these angles are wider from Transmission Lines, Solar Structures, Infrastructure, Industry etc.
The products are manufactured using latest technologies at our state-of-the-art facilities at Tarapur, Boisar and Nagpur, both in Maharashtra, India. It manufactures High Tensile and Mild Steel Structural Steel with IS and BSEN grades.
Karamtara Profiles is approved by PGCIL (Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.). It manufactures its angles from prime source billets from large steel manufacturers like Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), JSPL, JSW, Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), Gerdau etc.
Our Tarapur plant has installed capacity of 200000 MT of both High Tensile and Mild Steel whereas our Nagpur plant has a production capacity of 80000 MT per annum with the combined capacity of 280000 MT of structural steel, making us one of the largest Structural Steel manufacturers in the country.
We adhere to well defined quality standards and our products are tested using modern testing facilities including Spectrometer and Universal Testing Machine to ensure the products of superior quality and reliability.

Fasteners
Established in 2003, the Fasteners business vertical has integrated advanced and state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities at MIDC, Tarapur in Maharashtra. We are amongst the most modern and one of the largest manufacturers of HT Fasteners in the country.
Karamtara Fasteners offers a total systems approach to fastening solutions to the customers' requirements. We manufacture bolts, nuts, anti-theft bolts & nuts, studs, foundation bolts, U-bolts, plain and spring washers.
Our manufacturing facility in Tarapur has installed capacity of 30000 MT per annum. This plant manufactures HT & MS fasteners for Power Generation, Transmission & Distribution Industry, Telecom Tower Industry, Automobile Industry etc.
The manufacturing facility has both Hot Forging and Cold forging facilities. It is certified with ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 standards.
We source raw materials from Tata Steel, JSPL, RINL, Usha Martin, Dhamm Steel, Mukund Steel etc.
Solar Module Mounting Structure

Hardware Fittings And Accessories
Karamtara started Overhead Transmission Line Hardware Fittings & Accessories business in the year 2011 beginning with the acquisition of Iselfa Morsetteria S.r.l, Italy and signing up of technology license agreement with Wise Control Inc., South Korea to cater to the demands of the Transmission and Distribution industry in both domestic and global markets. Karamtara has state of the art Hardware Fittings and Accessories plant in Tarapur, Maharashtra, India to manufacture:

With technical support of Iselfa Morsetteria and Wise Control, this Indian plant is highly competent and qualified manufacturer of Hardware Fittings and Accessories for EHV Transmission Lines of 400kV, 500kV, 765kV and above ratings.
