Glass Bead Blasting

We have installed for our esteemed clients a Bead Blasting Unit.

The Chamber size is 1000mm.

 

•   Since we are only using Glass beads  
  · Impacted surface are free of smears, contaminants, and media embedments
  · High points are blended and pores are sealed
  · Imparts compressive stresses on the surface

 

• As a finishing process it is usually used to: -
  · Remove surface contamination 
  · Remove surface irregularities
  · Create a specific surface finish 
  · Clean the surface from rust. 

• 
   Specially for castings it can be used as a surface modification to increase compressive   stresses to:
  · Provide enhanced fatigue life.
  · Reduce susceptibility to stress corrosion 
  · Correct distortion.
