We have a rich 40 yrs experience in Developing tools for technical plastic parts with multiple cavities, close-tolerances, function-critical dimensions. We have in-house tool room equipped with modern CAD/CAM facilities and CNC machines. Our team is well versed in development & maintenance of tools with multiple cavities, hot runner systems & multiple cores and slider mechanisms. We employ hot runner systems, resulting in huge savings for our customers.

Injection Moulding

GPI's expertise lies in production of close-tolerance functional parts from high performance engineering polymers. Our parts need to undergo validating testing so as to test their endurance under sustained load conditions. GPI possess 40+ years of experience in establishing such processes and by employing the techniques of Scientific Molding, we are able to optimize process parameters to correct inconsistencies, ensure repeatability, and maximize efficiency. In addition to the complete range of conventional engineering polymers, we have experience with the more exotic materials such as those based on high temperature resistant polymers and those with performance enhancing additives. We process PPS, PES, PA 4.6, PA 6.6, PA 6, PBT, POM, PC, Alloys, TPU, TPE etc. Materials with fillers such as Short Glass Fibre, Long Glass FIbre, Glass Beads, PTFE, Aramid Fibre, Conductive Fillers, Carbon, MoS2 and various Mineral Fillers are used. We resort to post moulding processes and specialised fixtures to control the dimensions of the product

Gear Moulding

GPI specializes in moulding gears in high performance engineering plastics. Our team has over 20 years of experience in plastic gear tooling & processing technology. Getting the plastic gear profile right requires an intricate understanding of shrinkage patterns and this needs to be compensated in the tool design. Gears are moulded in various grades of Polyacetals and Polyamides with fillers like Glass fibre, PTFE and Carbon, depending on the nature of application. We make all types of gears including helical, spur, worm, rack and pinion gears.

Thin Wall Moulding

New product development especially for automotive industries is focused on smaller and lighter products, requiring thinner wall sections in components, housings and covers. At GPI, we have an integrated approach for designing, tooling and manufacturing thin wall injection moulded parts. We have expertise in special processing and tooling requirements, higher pressures and speeds, faster cooling times and special design considerations with respect to part-ejection and gating arrangements to mold wall sections as thin as 0 3 mm in polymers with up to 30% glass fibre content.
