The details about the capsule polishing machine, tablet inspection machine are as follows:
Feeding Section: This section consists of stainless Steel Hopper, a Stainless Steel Vibrator and a Stainless Steel Drug Powder Collector. Due to vibration as the capsules pass through the vibrator some amount of drug powder gets collected in the Stainless Steel collector.
Inspection Section: This section consists of conveyor belt with variable speed drive and lighting from above to inspect the capsules. The capsules move on the conveyor belt while moving they revolve around the axis due to the angular guides. The defective capsules can be sorted out by the operator through visual inspection.
The defective capsules sorted can be removed manually by puckers or by hand.
Polishing Section: This section consists of two Stainless Steel chambers fitted with a filter cloth; a revolving variable speed spiral nylon brush, stainless steel powder collector and vacuum dust collector. The capsules travel from one end of the brush to the other end. During this travel they are subjected to roll in between the Nylon bristles and sucked by the Dust Collector (Since the capsules are polished twice i.e. in two chambers the powder settled at the edge of the capsules also get removed).

GEM’s Fluid bed dryer is a process unit for preparation of granulated materials for solid dosage forms in batch and continuous batch operations. Comminuting mill is used for the down sizing, milling, pulverization and dispersion of wet and dry products in pharmaceutical, chemical, food, cosmetics, fertilizers industry
etc.
The product is poured from the top through in feed hopper and material falls on the rotor blades beater assembly for milling or pulverization. Due to the knife edges mounted on rotor, the downsizing of particle takes place and through sieve material gets pushed outward from the bottom opening. Knife edges can be removed for cleaning very easily.
Versatile compact colloid mill suitable for Homogenizing, dispersing, mixing, communicating more rapidly and emulsifying to give best results with an extremely high quality. The unit consists of stainless steel conical hopper, three way valve for drainage and recirculation, outlet nozzle and sprout rotor and stator assembly with 5H.P./ 3 HP motor, DOL starter with overload relay and optional jacket for cooling or heating.
Cone mill is used for achieving de-lumping, dispersion, De agglomeration, fine grinding, dry and wet milling uniform size reduction, sieving and mixing in the pharmaceutical, food, fine chemical, personal care and cosmetics industries.
The product is poured into the feed hopper of the Cone Mill. In the conical screen chamber, a rotating impeller imparts a vortex flow pattern to the in feed product. The product is forced outward to the screen surface by centrifugal acceleration, ensuring continuous delivery into the “action zone” between the screen and impeller. No heating of product during granulation / sizing operation, due to better air circulation and lesser impact action. In the “action zone” the material is uniformly sized and instantaneously passed tangentially through the screen openings. The finished product is discharged at the bottom of the milling chamber.
Conta Blending System has replaced completely the conventional blenders like V shape / Double cone or Ribbon type- is to latest GMP concept with an emphasis on the dust free transfer of powders and granules at different stages from sizing / dispensing 1o compression / filling of Tablets or Capsules.
The process involves collecting the sized granules in o Container, wheeling it to the Blender, engage the same with clamping system, lift and tumble for the pre validated time in set number of rotations.
Conta Blender has a flexibility of Batch Volume. Varying sizes of containers con be mounted on a drive console which is equipped with clamping cage. Batch size variation achievable in 500 kg. Model for example, is from 5 kg, to 1000 kg, using two different sizes of containers. Pressure vessels are used in the Membrane filtration system. While pressure vessels are used to transfer the product to the filter under Nitrogen pressure, the filling vessels are used to collect the filtered sterile solution. They work as buffer vessels in the product filling room.
Technical Specification
GEM’S Superfine Quality Multi Column Distillation Plant is based on the principal of interstage heat exchange to produce pure pyrogen free sterile distilled water
A part of feed water on the inside of the heat exchanger tubes is converted to steam because of surface film evaporation. A predetermined minimum amount passes through the column which causes both rapid heating of feed water and rapid cooling of boiler steam, therefore creating vapours at high velocity under pressure. This vapour rising through the entertained section is subjected to a 180 turn caused by centrifugal force.
Due to spiralling motion, the pure vapour rises upward through a vertical section outside the heat exchanger. Due to this unique centrifugal seperation technique, the impuritites such as endotoxins and pyrogen are removed. The purified vapour (steam) then moves towards the upper portion of the column.
The pure steam in the first column serves as the source of heat for the second column. This process is repeated in all the 4 to 5 columns or more. Each column is working at a slightly lower temperature and pressure than the proceeding one. The heating energy requirements are reduced by 70% as external heat is required to vapourise only 30% of the feed water.
