A versatile gas analyzer for measuring the permeability of any common gas or gas mixture through films and foils.

Typical gases measured include air, oxygen, nitrogen, carbon dioxide, hydrogen and helium. This instrument utilizes the manometric principle one of the most recognised gas permeability testing methods – pressure change via gas transmission through films.

With two measuring chambers, ease of operation through the alpha-numeric keyboard and digital display, the L100-5000 has the versatility of measuring permeation of almost any gas, both for advanced laboratory research as well as for quality control in a production setting.The L100-5000 analyzer is capable of measuring within a broad range of low and high permeabilities and can therefore be used to test a variety of materials. Modular systems for precision water vapor permeabilty testing of packaging film barriers.

The 7000 water vapor analyzer range utilises the sensitive and stable P2O5 sensor for absolute moisture measurement. These water vapor analyzers offer a wide measurement range of 0.002-1000 g/m²/day and precision temperature, humidity and flow control. Providing accurate and repeatable results for research and development testing of water transmission rate (wvtr) in both current and newly formulated packaging film materials and fast testing for Quality Control.

All Systech Illinois analyzers are certified traceable to NIST. In addition, analytical performance is validated using NIST certified gases and NIST traceable films. A set of validation films and a spare P2O5 sensor comes as standard with all of our water vapor permeation analyzers.

ASTM presses for plastics and other materials.

Wabash presses are specially configured to perform the compression molding of test plaque or bar specimens of Type 1-5 polyethylene. The procedure is in conformance with ASTM Method D 4703, Procedure C. The presses are equipped with heating/cooling platens and a programmable digital controller which has a heating/cooling loop for each platen and built-in program for the required 15°/minute +/-2°C cooling rate.
