The metallurgical properties like micro structure, grain size are extremely good when vacuum hardened. Steels like AISI D2, AISI H11, AISI H13, M2, M35, and T42 respond very well.
The process is done at 100 micron vacuum up to 1250 deg. C. The surface of the job is bright & clean. Distortion is also very minimal and the required hardness is also achieved. The process is totally eco friendly and pollution free.
We have vacuum furnace having size 12" x 12" x 18" with gas quenching and 10" x 10" x 12" with oil quenching.
