Screw Conveyor

Screw conveyors are bulk material transporting devices capable of handling a great variety of materials which have relatively good flowability.Flowability is defined as the degree of freedom of individual material particles to move past each other. The various application of screw conveyors proceed naturally from two factors ie, the characteristics of the material to be conveyed and the operating advantages peculiar to this type of conveyor. Screw conveyors operated horizontally, inclined or vertically.Screw conveyors are designed conforming to IS-5563 and CEMA standards.In screw conveyor transportation of bulk material is achieved by rotation of a tubical screw, thus moving the material axially in a trough or tube. Screw conveyors are manufactured in MS, SS,alloy materials and PP.

1. Mateial to be conveyed and bulk density
2. Capacity per hour  to be conveyed.
3.Length of the screw conveyor
4. Horizontal or inclined
5. If inclined then degree of inclination
6. MOC of the screw conveyor like Mildsteel, SS etc
