Copper Electroplating
Besides Gold the other important and mostly used metal is Copper which is used for imparting the properties of copper on other metal surfaces. The process is carried out in a electrolytic solution with a copper strip acting as cathode and the metal to be electroplated acting as anode. Copper metals are slowly deposited on the surface of the other metal and hence properties of copper metal. These are also transferred to that metal surface.
Benefits of Copper Plating

- Formulated for zinc die cast
- Large operating window
- One maintenance agent
- For rack and barrel
- No carbonates
- Less expensive than other plating processes
- Fire departments prefer non cyanide metal finishing shops
- Insurance companies prefer non cyanide
- Homeland Security Chemical Security Appendix A list sodium and potassium cyanide limit as 2000 pounds
- Save money with waste treatment costs
