Toshiba Machine specializes in supply of De humidified Air Dryers for the drying of hygroscopic plastic resins. Hygroscopic resins lose many of the desirable properties if the moisture content is high. High performance dryers are needed to draw moisture out of these resins. 
A De humidified Air Dryer works by moving hot air through a bed of desiccant beads. These beads absorb moisture out of the air and the dry air then absorbs moisture when moving through the resin in the dryer. After a set time or when the dew-point of the air reaches a set-point, the dryer switches from one desiccant bed to another. The bed that was drying until now is then heated with very hot air. This hot air makes the desiccant give up the moisture they absorbed before. The desiccant is then cooled or let to cool at ambient temperature.

Toshiba Machine specializes in supply of drying systems for Injection Stretch Blow Molding Machines. PET is a hygroscopic material and loses many of the desirable properties if the moisture content is above 50 ppm. In order to get defect free and aesthetically superior PET preforms de humidified drying is required with a specially designed de humidified air dryer.

Open Tank Systems: LT 150/LT200

In the manufacture of injection molded parts, correct mold temperatures can reduce rejection rates greatly. This improves  [open-tank-systems] productivity of the process and part aesthetics to a large extent. Based on the outlet heating temperatures two different models are made available in the open tank system.

Toshiba Machine blending units help in mixing precise percentages of additives or masterbatch at the feed-throat of the machine in an injection molding, blow molding or extrusion molding process. Volumetric blending units and Gravimetric (measured by weight) blending units are on offer in a variety of sizes.

In the volumetric system, The additive/color dosing unit has a motor driven screw metering dosing system fed by a small hopper, which dispenses additive at a pre-set rate into the flow of polymer pellets via a connection flange on to the machine. Upto three units are available for metering different types of additive into the same processing machine.
