It was 1983-84 then and Indian screen printers were not well versed with doing screen printing on round and conical surfaces. Mr. S.K. Khan formed the company S.K. Enterprises to endure the challenging task of spreading the knowledge of screen printing on round and curved surfaces. He began with approaching small time companies in Mumbai. He faced initial hurdles, but soon machines made by him got acceptance and proved a 'great' success.
His never ending efforts of improving the quality of machines prompt services and effective communication in the industry soon started attracting big clients. He also increased the model range and also introduced Heating Machines, etc. Today S.K. Enterprises boost their clientel with names like Dabur, Marico, Glaxo, Reliance, IBP, Lakme, Cadbury's, Tata Nihar and the list goes on like covering a wide range of industrial sectors.
Till date the company has sold over 6,000 machines all over India and has exported in more than 11 countries, mainly Gulf & South African countries. On this S. K. Khan says, "Especially in South African countries our machines are in great demand. And today, my existing customers are my salesman."
This businessman also adds to the betterment of the society. He provides his manual machines to various trusts working for the economic upliftment of handicaps and other weaker sections of the society at discounted price. So far he has helped more than fifty such trusts.
