EMCO Simplatroll type 14.458 Spring applied Fail Safe Electromagnetic DC brakes.
EMCO Simplatroll type 14.458 Spring applied Fail Safe Electromagnetic DC brake is designed to perform holding as well as emergency stopping functions (Normally On), making it particularly well- suited for brake motor applications. These brakes are electromagnetically actuated with two friction surfaces on a single disc. The braking power is applied by means of compression springs. The braking torque is generated in the no power or in event of power failure condition. These brakes are having torque up to 5000 Nm. Brake are available in various version as per application. Special brake with micro switch, tacho mounting provision, centring flange etc. can be also supplied. Brake is also available for low temperature (-40°C) application.
Emco Simplatroll Spring applied fail safe DC brake type / model is supplied in model such as 14.458.06, 14.458.08, 14.458.10, 14.458.12, 14.458.14, 14.458.16, 14.458.18, 14.458.20, 14.458.25 for different torque.
Spare Brake disc with liner (ROTOR), Coil, Rectifier (DC Converter) are supplied on request.

These brakes are maintenance free and provided with unique pre-stressed spring made of German Spring Steel. Brake Coil has ‘F’ class insulation to give millions of operations without fatigue and Friction materials provided are asbestos free for long life.
Application for Emco Simplatroll DC Electromagnetic Brake type 14.112: Brake motors, Machine tools, Packaging Machines, Special purpose machines, Industrial washing machines, Coil winding machines, Wire drawing machinery, Textile machinery, etc.
Original Rotor / Brake disc with Non asbestos friction lining on twin surfaces for Emco SIMPLATROLL type 14.458, 14,438, 14,448 Spring applied Fail Safe Electromagnetic DC brake is supplied for all models / type / size.
Applications: Brake motors, Cranes and Hoists, Elevators, Servo motors, Machine tools, Packaging Machines, Golf carts, Presses, Printing machinery, Steel Plants, Industrial washing machines, Tyre making machinery, Hospital beds, Robotics, Tower cranes, Goods lifts, Construction machinery, Coil winding machinery, X- Ray machines, Wheel chair, Wire drawing machinery, Battery operated electric vehicles, Textile machinery.
The EMCO Simplatroll DC Spring Applied double coil brake ist designed to perform holding as well as emergency stopping functions (Normally On), making it particularly well-suited for brake motor applications. This brake can be used with EFF motor series.
This brake having two coils, one is Booster coil & other is holding coil. The holding coil is designed with much lower wattage hence there is ¡°Power Saver¡± feature in this type (14.488 series) Brake which provides added advantage of very fast engagement of the brake also. Due to low power consumption the Brake heating is greatly reduced and hence these brakes can be used in higher ambient temperatures.
Solid State Rectifier Brake Rectifier / Power converter EH Series
EH-series brake rectifier is used to supply DC voltage to DC operated brakes on electric motors, where standard release reaction time of the brake is required.
The primary application of rectifiers is to derive DC power from an AC supply. This rectifier having capacitor & spark suppressor to protect the diode bridge circuit. Spark suppressor protects the coil and contact against impermissibly high induced voltages during DC switching. In the absence of a suppressor circuit, the induced voltage may exceed the permissible values and cause coil failure.
Rectifiers are available with half wave and full wave rectification. Rectifier can produce normal excitation and over excitation. These rectifiers are compact in size & easy to mount in terminal box or in control panel. Rectifier available with over excitation is used specifically with large DC coils for crane/Hoist brake application. This rectifier mainly used for spring applied electromagnetic brake. Also used for DC electromagnetic brakes, clutches, clutch brake combination. A connection diagram will be furnished with each rectifier or upon request.
EMCO SIMPLATROLL CLUTCH BRAKE COMBINATION TYPE 14.125
Electromagnetic clutch and brake combination type 14.125 can be used for continuous start stop function in any drive transmission arrangement of any machine or mechanism. The standard unit comes with an input and output shaft which can be coupled with any other input and output shaft or other items.
Note Flange mounted option for either input or output or both is also available and hollow shaft instead of solid shaft in input or output or both is also available which facilitates an outside driving or driven shaft to be inserted inside the unit.
Clutch brake combination application Machine tools, Special purpose machines, Packaging machines, Conveyors, Welding machines.
