How does the Powder Coating Process Work?

Powder coating process is based on the polymer resin system, often combined with pigments, curatives, flow modifiers, levelling agents, and additives. All these ingredients are mixed together and melted, and grounded into a fine and uniform powdered texture, just like baking flower. Electrostatic Spray Deposition (ESD) technique is used in order to achieve uniform application of powder coating to any metal substrate. A spray gun is used for application, which applies electrostatic charge and powders particles, which gets attracted to the grounded finish. Once coating is applied, parts are entered into a curing oven, additional heat is applied, coating reacts chemically to produce longer molecular chains, thus giving you high quality result.
