Kirloskar Oil Engines Limited (KOEL) is a flagship company of Kirloskar group and one of the world’s largest power generating set manufacturers. Specializing in manufacturing both air-cooled and water-cooled engines and diesel generating sets across a wide range of power output from 2.1 kW to 5200 kVA.
KOEL has consistently delivered reliable and high quality products to meet the power requirements of different market segments including telecom, construction, IT / ITES, retail, hotels, hospitals, banking and finance and manufacturing at very competitive costs.
KOEL’s fully-equipped research and engineering facility has the most advanced technology, cutting-edge equipment’s and latest software for design, development and upgrading of engines, systems and controls.
The Research & Engineering facility is bolstered by ultra-modern emission test lab which ensures that our products are emission compliant and eco-friendly. KOEL engines and diesel generator sets are also certified for stringent noise and exhaust emission norms made mandatory by the Central Pollution Control Board, India.

KOEL headquartered in Pune has four state of the art manufacturing plant. Plant in Kagal is the youngest plant which got established in the year 2010. In 2012, KOEL entered the residential diesel generator market with the launch of their compact product - Chota Chilli.
The following year, KOEL was listed in the Limca Book of Records for 7 consecutive ‘in time wage agreement’ signing since 1995 before its expiry. In 2014, a new brand identity ‘KOEL Green’ was established for KOEL generators. The same year, KOEL’s first CPCB II compliant generator was launched which was followed by the launch of the Multi-purpose farm equipment – Mega T. KOEL signed MoU with MTU Friedrichshafen, GmbH in 2015
