Polyester film is very excellent choice for cable industries for power cables, submersible, fiber, optic and jelly filled cables, due to its dielectric and insulating property, excellent mechanical and tensile strength, tear resistance and shear strength. Apart from this it also has low moisture absorption property and fungus resistance properties. Copper corrosion is also negligible. Polyester film melts at high temperatures at 255�C and shrinkage % are very low. Polyester film in normal conditions are unaffected by ageing.

Due to excellence electrical insulating properties, flexibility and ease of handling on coating machines, this film is used for interphase insulation and as a core wrap for power cables and underground cable. The white opaque color of this film is ideal for its use as a slot liner and interphase separator in electrical motor and transformer, apart from the toughness, flexibility, and the high folding endurance. The film is cut, folded into cuff, which is then inserted into the slot.

The high breakdown voltage (B.D.V) of polyester film is an important for this application, a corollary is that the film should be free pinholes and other surface defects which can affect the B.D.V. The film also should be flat and the winding should be uniformly tight to give flat curl free laminate.

Polyester film is strong, tough material which is suitable for mechanical forming and allows easy roll to roll laminates. From solvents and resins commonly used in the production of electrical laminates. Polyester film makes it suitable for motor operating at elevated tempratures.

Polyester film is also coupled which one or two layer of high quality electrical grade paper such as pressphan paper or nomex aramid paper by using appropriate adhesive to produce flexible laminates of class 'E' up to 120'C or class 'F' up to 155'C.

Biaxially oriented polyester film is used to release films the mandrel and the resin in GRP/FRP manufactured products. It is mainly used in GRP/FRP application like pipe, tank, chemical vessels, and roof sheet. It is also used in CFW and HFW continuous filament winding / helical filament winding.

Firstly a release film e.g. Polyester film, is wound on the mandrel, followed by a surfing mat, both of them supported by proper winders, glass roving together with chopped glass, sand aggregate, polyester resub are applied simultaneously on the proper mandrel positions according to design specification. At the end, a layer applied next to the steel tape provides the required chemical resistance (inner layer), while the material supplied over the inner layer represents the mechanical resistance outer layer. The laminate building up thus can easily be made in compliance with the appropriate design by controlling the amount of various material applied.

The polyester film is important for this application so this film should be free from pinholes and the surface defects which can affect the glossy, smooth finish of the manufactured products. The film winding should be uniformly tight.

The clear transparent film is ideal for its use as a release liner and as a separator in GRP/FRP products, apart from the toughness, flexibility and clarity for smooth and glossy finish. The film is supplied in roll form and as per the width required for CFW machines. Polyester film is release film for GRP/FRP demold. It is used in filament pipes, compression mould etc. system which keep the mould from the polyester resin to come in contact thus give more life to the mandrel mould, which is a heart of these industry.

Polyester film is also laminated with high quality glass fiber sleeves / tapes with one or two layer used as high quality electrical grade glass fiber tapes by using appropriate adhesive to produce laminate of class.

Silicon coated PET release film is made of PET film coated with silicone release material on one or both sides. The coating layer is equable, has no wrinkle, avulsion, granule, pinhole or air bubble. Since the silicone is highly cured, there will be essentially no migration of the silicone to any adhesive which may come in contact with the film.

This product provides excellent slip, low release force and good dimensional stability over a wide temperature range.

This special silicone coating is formulated to give premium release from selected solvent based adhesive. The other side is specially treated with a slip control coating to ensure proper tracking of the film web. The silicone coating on polyester film is specially treated prior to winding. This silicone formulation provides premium release from certain solvent based adhesion.
