The basic purpose of the guide vanes is to convert a part of pressure energy at its entrance to the kinetic energy and then directs it to runner blades at the angle appropriate to the design. Moreover, guide vanes are pivoted and can be turned by a suitable governing mechanism to regulate the flow while the load changes. Guide vanes are fixed aerofoils that direct air, gas, or water into the moving blades of a turbine or into or around bends in ducts with minimum loss of energy. In several industrial sectors, the need for conveying fine-grained or small-sized bulk material with sealed machines, generally over small distances, can be satisfied by the various types of screw conveyors. Horizontal screw conveyors are generally used for powdered materials or small-sized material to be conveyed horizontally or with slight inclination (which may however reach 45° or more) whereas vertical screw conveyors are used for vertically lifting fine-grained material (also popularly known as screw elevators). When specially adjusted, horizontal screw conveyors may also be used to extract material from hoppers or silos. Special screw conveyors may be required to perform certain functions that include mixing, humidification and cooling, while other functions may be satisfied case-by-case through custom-made design solutions
Paddle conveyors are basically used when material needs to mixed while moving to destination. In a paddle conveyor, the paddles are fitted at regular intervals along the length of the shaft. These paddles can be either in MS or SS and its angle can be changed to control the speed of material of being carried out and its mixing. Paddles control the flow of the material there by resulting in effective stirring and mixing of the carried material. In a feed industry, paddle conveyors are used to mix steam and molasses in the feed. Paddle conveyors can be either single shaft or double shaft depending upon the application and material being conveyed/mixed. Paddles are made of flat with thickness up to 10 mm
We offer high quality stainless steel flanges. We manufacture high quality stainless steel rings of any sizes for heavy industrial machinery as per the design and specifications of our customers. Blind flanges are usually used to stop one end of the flanged pipe, a valve orifice or the opening of a pressure vessel. Slip on flanges are used in quick assembly to save the cost. These slip on flanges are also used in less strict requirements in terms of length of pipe section. Socket weld flanges are recommended for orifice flanges. These socket weld flanges work as substitute for slip-on-flanges in the cases where the diameter of the tube is very small and working pressure is very high. Threaded flanges are used in special requirements to work under high temperature and pressure, making sure no welding joint is made at the assembly. Weld neck flanges are mainly used on heat coupling of pipes when there is possibility of expansion of the section while bending stress on the coupling.
Pendulum Flaps in cement preheaters have the function to avoid counter gas flow through material pipes between two stages of the preheater. Such counter gas flow leads to unwanted heat loss and build-up formation in meal ducts and results in drastic reduction of the separation efficiency of the cyclone above. The importance of well functioning pendulum flaps is often neglected by operators. High specific energy consumption (kcal/kg clinker) and poor separation efficiency of the cyclone causing large quantities of re-circulating dust in the system as well as high quantities of dust loss into the kiln filter are the costly consequence. Based on many years of experience gained in cement plants around the world, AEW has manufactured various types of PENDULUM FLAP which overcomes the problems usually faced with conventional pendulum flaps.
Cyclone Immersion (Dip) Tube for Preheater Lower Stages. Dip tubes have significant influence on the separation efficiency of a cyclone. In modern suspension preheaters it is standard to use cyclones with a dip tube for improved separation. Especially the design of a lower stage dip tube requires know-how and expertise in order to achieve a low pressure drop of the cyclone by retaining the best possible separation efficiency (to avoid too high dust circulation). The choice of material is of great importance due to high operating temperatures, abrasive material and often existing chemical conditions. The cyclone dip tube length and diameter are naturally the most important design factors. Detailed calculations and experienced engineering are necessary to find the optimized solution. Furthermore, a sliding suspension of the cyclone dip tube is recommendable to avoid heat deformation of the cyclone dip tube and eventual damage, both of which would lead to higher pressure drop and poor separation.
